Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Charles R. "Chuck" Coleman, Jr.

Candidate for
United States Representative; District 28; Democratic Party

This information is provided by the candidate

Our country desperately needs leaders who are not controlled by special interest groups or wealthy individual individuals. Issues such as health care, education, and the environment should not be political. They are, though, because politicians look first to what's ok according to their contributors and simply doing what's right for the people takes a backseat.

I choose the high road -- which I realize is also the hard road: I do not accept campaign contributions. My campaign is about the issues that impact everyday people's lives. Should I get elected, my obligation will be to serve the people as best I can.
