Ken also serves on the Rules Committee, which determines the agenda for the full Council.

Improving the quality of transportation and transit options in the Valley is another issue that Ken continues to work on as a Board member of Caltrain and alternate member of VTA's Board of Directors. He is the Council liaison to a number of City Commissions that advise the Council on key issues in San Jose, including the Community Development Block Grant Steering Committee, Healthy Ventures Neighborhood Fund Committee, Library Commission, Parks and Recreation Commission, Traffic Appeals Commission, and Youth Commission.
