I led the successful completion of the Waterfront Master Plan with the City of West Sacramento, laying the groundwork for the development of a world-class riverfront that will be the centerpiece of our region for fun, recreation and enjoyment for all. I have successfully fought for fair and appropriate flood control for residents of Sacramento serving as the city's point person on the local flood control agency. Those efforts help ensure that Sacramento receives needed resources to protect our city from floods. While the city is growing rapidly, I am working hard to protect the natural resources surrounding our city and contributing to our great way of life. I led the effort creating the Habitat Conservation Plan in North Natomas, which guarantees that land will be set aside as open space for habitat and endangered species. |
