16. In one sentence, why did you choose to run for this office? How do intend to improve the quality of life in your community?

The County Council is the crucial link between local activism and the state Green Party, a place where my broad perspective and hard work can truly make a difference.

17. What are three to five specific tasks (e.g. specific legislation, policies, enforcement actions) you intend to accomplish while in office?

Most of all, I want to implement new communication tools that afford locals and individuals more power in Green decisions. I want to earn the trust and involvement of the locals by providing coordinated support to maximize our effectiveness working together. I will work to forge effective coalitions with other progressive political forces in Los Angeles County. With support from the rest of the Council, I will help finish cleaning house on questionable financial practices from the past, and restore our ability to provide meaningful resources to locals through County-wide fundraising. I want to continue to represent our County on the state and national levels.
