Questions & Answers

1. How would you implement your top priority?

The City of Blue Ash continues to provide outstanding recreational opportunities to its residents in a well planned, fiscally responsible manner. Council continues to seek and incorporate the input of the residents in current and future plans. I would continue to work with the city administration to see that Blue Ash provides outstanding recreational services to the residents by maintaining our current parks and services and continuously look for new opportunities.

2. Numerous important issues including transportation, land use planning, housing and economic development for the Greater Hamilton County regions are being deliberated by OKI's Land Use Commission and Hamilton County Regional Planning Commission and Planning Partnership COMPASS; how engaged should local government be in these planning activities? If elected, how would you participate in these planning activities?

I currently attend meetings for the County Regional Planning Partnership COMPASS and have been committed to the role Blue Ash plays as one community in the overall region. Communites in the County and in the Greater Cincinnati region need to stay current in areas like transportation, waste water treatment, storm water drainage, and area wide economic development. I will see that Blue Ash is a full participant in these areas.

3. Ohio Department of Natural Resources in partnership with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the National Recycling Coalition conducted a state-specific study and found recycling businesses in Ohio generated $650.6 million dollars in state government revenue. If elected how would you promote recycling and support recycling programs currently in place in your community to reduce solid waste generation?

I would see that Blue Ash continue to promote the recycling process as we currently do with our waste management contract.
