Questions & Answers

1. How would you implement your top priority?

Oak Hills Local School District is already rated an excellent school district meeting all 22 state standards and adequate yearly progress as defined by "No Child Left Behind" federal legislation. We need to continue as well as expand those programs (reading, math, intervention, etc.) that allowed us to accomplish these goals over the past few years. The Board's job is to promote an environment that allows students , staff and administration the opportunities to achieve this academic excellence.

2. How can the School Board work with local government and the community on use of school facilities for after school programs and recreations?

Again, Oak Hills already does an excellent job in working with the community to open our doors beyond just school use. Quite literally, all of our buildings are open sun-up to sundown seven days a week for church, civic and community meetings, recreation and other activities. The possibility of offering use of our computer systems to those community members who otherwise would not have computer access is also being explored.
