Questions & Answers

1. How would you implement your top priority?

The expanding of parks will be a two-fold process, 1st allocating the moneys needed in the city budget, then buying the land. We have an excellant staff in our parks and recreation, so by listening to these people on their needs we will have a complete picture to the future in Blue Ash. Our bike paths/sidewalks are in a great need of repair or they are nonexsistant, this creates a safety issue for our children,seniors and mothers/fathers with strollers. We cannot point the finger at others when our large projects go over budget,ie. the firehouse, all of council must take the blame.

2. Numerous important issues including transportation, land use planning, housing and economic development for the Greater Hamilton County regions are being deliberated by OKI's Land Use Commission and Hamilton County Regional Planning Commission and Planning Partnership COMPASS; how engaged should local government be in these planning activities? If elected, how would you participate in these planning activities?

We have many buisnesses in Blue Ash that use hourly employees,we have many seniors, there is a lack of mass transit availible for these people and others, so we need to stay connected with the big picture of how we can connect with the whole transit program. I would attend meetings seave on boards and imput how this will help all of us.

3. Ohio Department of Natural Resources in partnership with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the National Recycling Coalition conducted a state-specific study and found recycling businesses in Ohio generated $650.6 million dollars in state government revenue. If elected how would you promote recycling and support recycling programs currently in place in your community to reduce solid waste generation?

We have curbside recycling for residential, the sad part is the Sycamore schools do not recycle, here we could have a tremendous impact, by doing what we teach!
