Biographical Statement of Howard Bond
Howard Bond is currently Managing Director of the Phoenix Executech Group. He has worked for the company for twenty-five years in providing outstanding management consulting and executive search for a wide variety of clients around the world. Howard has traveled to Africa, Asia, Europe, South America, and extensively throughout the United States to identify problems and propose solutions for companies, governments and non-profits. His clients have received many awards for their diversity activities, as a result of the consultation provided by the Phoenix Executech Group.

Before starting this company in 1977, Howard was Vice President of Playboy Enterprises, Inc. where he had worldwide responsibility for all of Playboy's human resources. He earned a reputation as a tough minded, but fair executive who was able to integrate the company's objectives to meet employees' needs and to improve corporate profitability. Howard started his career with Ford Motor Company in Detroit, and then moved to General Electric in Boston and Cincinnati, before moving to Xerox Corporation in New York and Chicago. He developed and implemented all of the programs in the late 60's and early 70's that caused Xerox to become the leader by far of any Fortune 500 company in America in Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity.

In addition to advancing rapidly throughout his corporate and professional career, Howard has made significant accomplishments in the communities where he has lived. His community services in Cincinnati alone, include, former elected member of the Cincinnati Board of Education, former member of the Board of Governors of the Bankers Club, and former board member of the Urban League of Greater Cincinnati. For the past ten years, he has served as a Cincinnati Park Board Commissioner and is the President of the African American Political Caucus. He is a member of Cincinnatus and is a founder of 100 Black Men of America, Inc. Cincinnati Chapter.

Howard teaches Leadership and Social Responsibility at Northern Kentucky University, and has been very active as a visiting professor in the Black Executive Exchange Program of the National Urban League since its inception in 1969. He received his Bachelors degree in Social Sciences with a concentration in Economics and Political Science from Eastern Michigan University.

Howard is a life member of the NAACP, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc, and the National Black MBA Association. He is a 33rd degree mason (Prince Hall Affiliation), and is a member of Alpha Delta Boule. He is President of the Central Region of Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity. He and his wife, Ruby, reside in North Avondale and have been happily married for over thirty years.
