Questions & Answers

1. How would you implement your top priority?

For decades, standards have been gradually lowered tin order to accommodate poor students who are not interested in learning. I hope to reverse that trend by supporting policies that challenge students and alleviate boredom. All students need to understand that they can accomplish things which they never believe they were capable of. If elected, I will endeavor to do whatever I can to prepare our students for their futures by encouraging them to perform while not being overly coddled.

2. How can the School Board work with local government and the community on use of school facilities for after school programs and recreations?

Administrative oversight of such programs requires that there be a single overseer having fiscal responsibility. The person with such management responsibilities must have the support of local governments and the school district, not to mention the school board. All affected individuals should have input: students, parents, school personnel (teachers & administrators), residents, etc. Profits from such endeavors should go to the schools.
