1. How would you implement your top priority?

Answer from Jeffrey Paul Biddle:

I will work with district administration to make necessary curriculum changes and investigate new programs to continue our improvement in proficiency scores. Our district is performing competently, but we must continue to seek ways to improve the quality of our students' education. I will continue to work towards these goals if reelected.

Answer from Sandy Stephens:

To have a group of business and community leaders along with parents and administrators that would work with the school board to give a detailed stategic plan for the district. This group would develop a stategic 5 year plan, and work closely with the board for input and would set goals for the future.

2. How can the School Board work with local government and the community on use of school facilities for after school programs and recreations?

Answer from Sandy Stephens:

Youth organizations could use our facility to incorporate youth programs for students. After school programs could be facilitated by upperclass students for mentoring and tutoring younger students.

Answer from Jeffrey Paul Biddle:

Our schools already provide a wide variety of activities for children at all grade levels, as well as cooperating with community organizations for use of our facilities. A school board should be receptive to working with other governments and community groups toward facility use as long as programs are well conceived and do not compromise the school's security or educational functions.
