Married for fifteen years to Nell Lee Stinson MD, who is also a long-time local resident and who has practiced as an ob/gyn in this area for seventeen years. They have resided in San Mateo for the last seven years and previously lived in Burlingame.

They have three children: Camille (10) and twins Adrian(7) and Ian (7).
