I'm running for re-election because I believe in giving back to the community. I have been able to fully benefit from all that our community has had to offer and believe I am in a strong position, due to my experience and background, to contribute in a significant way to the Sequoia District.

Afer many years sitting in the audience watching school boards in action, I KNOW what can be accomplished with the right kind of leadership. These past four years I have been able to fine-tune my leadership skills and learn from experience. I'm proud of what has been accomplished and want to "finish the job".

To summarize major accomplishments I would offer the following: achievement test scores are up; voters showed their confidence in our schools by passing an 88 million dollar bond to upgrade, modernize, repair and renovate our schools; construction is proceeding with very few problems and maximum return to the taxpayers; we have avoided major cuts of staff and programs during severe reductions in funding;we continue to attract top notch teachers.
