Ballot Statement of Michael A.Flores, Candidate for Sunnyvale City Council

By Michael Anthony "Mike" Flores

Candidate for Council Member; City of Sunnyvale; Seat 6

This information is provided by the candidate
"Having seen our current fiscal problems coming I decided to ran for councilman in 2001. With the support of many of you I came close to winning. However incumbent Miller collected over $40,000.00, mostly from developers. My Sunnyvale supporters and I weren't able to overcome this and couldn't get our message to you.

The current council and its boards should have seen and responded to our fiscal problems. Now Sunnyvale's reserve fund is almost gone. The council is looking to you for more money and reducing your services.

I came to Sunnyvale in 1976 and started my company in 1980. Over these many years I have learned a lot. With your support we will find and consider all of our options for Sunnyvale. We will than be able to select the best choices for us all and not just a select few. Let's all have a say in the direction Sunnyvale will go. I will find ways to make it easier for you to let the council know your views. I will see that you have a say in Sunnyvale. A vote for me is a vote for you. Thank You."
