Email from a Classified Employee at De Anza

By Michael G. "Mike" Bradford

Candidate for Board Member; Foothill-De Anza Community College District

This information is provided by the candidate
This email illustrates the poor working conditions in the district. No one seems to care about this. I put this in because I want you to see what your tax dollars don't do. I had to protect the employee by not giving out his name, phone or email.

You're my man if you can help STOP the buraucratic nonsense that obligates us to constantly take not only the "lowest bidder" but as well the lowest conceivable quality. Daily, we are frustrated by a computer network that puts us offline regularly, a telephone system that runs like 12-tone-music (and is about as comprehendible),air-conditioning systems that do not work (or overwork, depending upon what floor you're on), and many other screwy ways of doing business. I'm afraid most of this is because of Sacramento, but maybe you can help.

Ah, but now that I think of it, I'm not a local resident (I live in Redwood City), so I cannot vote on behalf of my own institution. As they say, "I just work here."
