Smart Voter Official Statement for Michael Magne

Candidate for
City Council Member; City of Santa Barbara

This is a copy of information submitted to elections officials by the candidate

Occupation: Business Owner

Education and Qualifications:

I am running for City Council because I am concerned about our economic future, the future of our youth and our environment. The coming years will bring tough challenges including meeting budget pressures and continued environmental protection. We need leaders with vision and experience.

As a business owner for 20 years, I know how to manage a budget and how to make tough decisions. My history of community service includes: Parks and Recreation Commissioner, Treasurer and Board Member of the Old Town Merchants Association, and Government Relations Director for the Chamber of Commerce. I've served several non-profit groups including the MDA and President of SPARKLE which presents the July 4th fireworks.

I wake up everyday excited to live here. I love this community. Now that I have a young daughter who will attend Santa Barbara Schools,

I am specially interested in working for a bright future, If you agree leadership is about making Santa Barbara a safe and enjoyable place to live, work and play, I would appreciate your vote.
