I want to run a clean, uncompromising campaign and the best way to do that is to disclose every contribution, not just those over $99. That's what I have done, and I called on all the City Council candidates to do the same. Not one has agreed to do so. I am not embarrassed by any of my contributors and I am proud of the diverse base of supporters that I have. This is a big step toward comprehensive campaign reform.

I have visted over 3500 of your homes. Many residents believe that the Novato City Council has been failing its citizens. Many are treated rudely at Council meetings. Council members squabble among themselves leaving important work undone.

As a mother of three, and grandmother of three, I know a little something about cooperation and negotiation. With your vote on November 4th, I'll bring the experience, skill and temperament necessary to get things done to make Novato a better place to live and work.

For the past seven years, I've worked hard for the people of Novato as a member of the district staff for State Senator John Burton. I helped obtain crucial funding to preserve 650 acres of wetlands and open space at Bahia, spearheaded the drive for critical State discretionary funding for our schools, and helped clean up toxins at Hamilton.

Now, I'm ready to help the people of Novato get more out of our City Council. I'll fight to preserve and defend Novato's rural character and finish the downtown revitalization. I'll work to expand transportation options and maintain Golden Gate Transit bus service for Novato commuters.

Novato is only one election away from fixing these incessant and divisive issues. We don't have to face a future of stifling traffic, growing pollution and crumbling schools. It's the City Council's job to set these thing right. When I am your City Council person I will set new priorities and work reasonably and effectively with the other members to bring about the new Novato we all want.
