ROBERT PACELLI:

I support the Public's Right to vote on Water projects.

I support the Public's Right to Vote for Water Board Directors.

I believe that our natural resources belong to the citizens of the Monterey Peninsula. I am concerned that our basic human right to water should not be bought and sold by either multi-national companies nor local corporations whose profit motives if left unchecked threaten to destroy our quality of life.

The most important environmental issue we are facing is the lack of public knowledge regarding the source of our water; who gets it and why; what they use it for; and what happens to it after it leaves our homes and businesses.

The present water board has set an excellent example in difficult times including assessing lost resources through the Cal-Am pipelines and calling for a complete examination of water transfer credits and review of all land water agreements that presently exist that affect promises about sources of water and how they will be replaced.

There is so much more to do!

Thank you for considering me for your Water District.
