Name: Jerry Kurz, Ph. D, Incumbent Age: 63

Occupation: Owner of Kurz Instruments, Inc. Monterey, California

Education & Qualifications:

I received my Master's and Ph. D. degrees from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin (Madison)-all in Mechanical Engineering.

My wife and our four children (and now two grandchildren) moved to Carmel Valley in August, 1975 and established our business in Carmel Valley Village. In 1977, I became a Volunteer Fireman/EMT with the original CVFPD. About 1983 I was appointed to the CVFD Board of Directors and served continuously until 1993. Soon after the consolidation of the New CVFPD I was appointed as a Director.

I believe that my many years of experience as a Volunteer and Director, coupled with my technical and business knowledge highly qualifies my candidacy to our community. I would like to continue being a Director of the CVFPD.
