Forensic Audit

By Craig Elliot Brown

Candidate for Governing Board Member; Manhattan Beach Unified School District

This information is provided by the candidate
Complete a forensic audit of all renovation expendatures.
Manhattan Beach Unified School District has gone through $115.7 million dollars since 1995. Two successful Bond Measures later and Manhattan Beach Unified School District is facing a $6 million dollar shortfall to complete all present construction projects, that is without any additional cost overruns.

This year Manhattan Beach Unified School District is operating on a $2.3 million dollar deficit with no apparent means to get the necessary dollars needed other than to borrow additional funds.

The voters in Manhattan Beach recently defeated Measure E, because the voters do not have faith in the School Board nor the superintendent's ability to manage money.

Measure E was not defeated becanse Manhattan Beach voters did not want excellent schools nor have a commitment to our kids or the community.
