POSITIVE CHANGES
I have been a resident of Pico Rivera for eighteen years. For the past 17 years, I have been involved with the educational system of the El Rancho Unified School District. For 10 years, I have been a School Site Council Chairperson for several schools in the district. Currently I am the District Advisory Council Chairperson.

My involvement with the educational system has made aware of the needs of our students. Our students are in need of a better education, one that will prepare them to pursue a higher education in a college or university, also to prepare them to meet the challenges of 21st century.

It is our responsibility as parents, teachers, administrator and as elected officials of the district to provide our student with the necessary tools that will enable them to not only succeed, but also to become productive and active members of the society that we live in.

To increase the quality of education in Pico Rivera is my driving factor in my decision to seek the position of board member in the El Rancho Unified School District. I will work closely with the parents, teachers and the community of Pico Rivera, I will listen to your suggestions and work for you.

Therefore, I ask not only for your vote, but also for your involvement in the educational process. This is the time when our children need us the most. It is now the time for parents, teachers and residents of Pico Rivera to join hands to help provide our students with a strong foundation for a better future.
