As a third generation resident I am committed to preserving Livermore's quality of life for future generations. I have a proven track record of getting the job done for the voters of Livermore and understanding the issues. I am responsive to their concerns and am accessible.

I have shaped new programs at city hall to make it user friendly to citizens. I have a broad base of experience as a current Councilmember and understand issues related to open space, traffic congestion, transit, keeping our neighborhoods safe, and budget concerns.

I have been instrumental in building consensus on issues both locally and regionally. I have emphasized partnering with the school district and LARPD to meet the needs of our schools, teens and senior citizens.

As a businessperson I have focused Livermore on building a strong tax base to support city services, attract high quality jobs and keep our city fiscally sound.

Since I was elected in 1991 our city has permanently protected vineyards, open space, and parks. I want to complete this task in North Livermore. I am interested in representing all of Livermore resident's needs, not special interest groups.

I have the elected and business experience necessary to complete the many complex projects related to downtown redevelopment. As a leader in regional transportation issues I am working to complete projects important to Livermore residents like the Highway 84 bypass, BART and ACE service expansions.

I enthusiastically look forward to representing the voters as we deal with the many challenges facing the next millennium.
