CAMPAIGN PLATFORM OF STEVE PULIDO For PUSD School Board Trustee

My Commitments to the People of Pleasanton:

  • I will work diligently with fellow board members to ensure the fiscal integrity of our school district while preserving the high quality of our educational programs.

  • I will strongly promote effective communication, by and between, all stakeholders of the Pleasanton educational community: students, teachers, parents, board members, administrators, district employees and community members.

  • I will strongly advocate for a wide variety of programs in our schools that meet the needs of high achievers, special needs students and all the students in the middle.

  • I will strongly advocate for teacher autonomy in the classroom and support our teachers in implementing high academic standards for our students.

  • I will always seek, and place great weight upon, the input and visions of our students, parents, teachers, district staff and community members in making the decisions that will provide our students with a superior education.

  • I will work with fellow board members to ensure that our students' education in the Pleasanton schools is exciting, challenging, motivating, diverse and fulfilling.

  • I will advocate for programs that instill, within our students, civic responsibility, social responsibility, and character strengths that will allow our students to be active, caring, and contributing members to our society.

  • I will strongly support the goals of our Strategic Plan of High Achievement, Strong Partnerships, and Effective Communication.

  • I will strongly promote parental participation in the education of their children.

  • I will always make the tough and informed decisions, based upon all available information, that allow every student in Pleasanton to reach his or her potential.
