Cheryl Bly-Chester

I am a small business owner, an engineer and professional problem solver. I have a career, credentials and/or experience in areas of California's most challenging issues including business ownership and management, energy and the environment, homeland security and emergency response, infrastructure design and construction, education, and earthquake studies.

I was born in San Francisco, California in 1957, the second of five children, to a father whose great-grandparents were all California pioneers (including one who was a forty-niner goldminer) and a mother who immigrated to this country in 1953. I couldn't tell you which one taught me to love California more. I have traveled in more than 80 countries gaining an appreciation of diverse cultures and religions. Whatever intolerance I may have had did not survive the journey.
