It's Time For a Fresh Voice
  • Make dealing with the city easier and a less drawn out process

  • Improve safety and security by improving traffic enforcement and brush clearance efforts

  • Preserve the privacy and rural character of our city

  • Update city ordinances to make them more current and fair

  • Establish a fair balance on all committees to protect the rights of all residents

  • Establish an autonomous ethics committee to oversee the council and committees to help protect residents against conflicts of interest

  • Educate residents about the function of the city versus the community association and clarify the responsibilities and focuses of each

My wife Maureen and I moved to Rolling Hills in 1999, returning to Maureen's childhood home. Maureen's parents, Jack and Helene Drown, had lived in Rolling Hills since 1950.

I am a firm believer in preserving the natural beauty of Rolling Hills, and I know that the city's rural environment is now threatened by outside developmental pressures. With that in mind, I aim to strengthen protection for residents from changes to the character of Rolling Hills.

I have been a successful small business owner for over 25 years with a B.A. in economics from Cornell University and an MBA from University of Michigan, my strong business background will help the city efficiently deal with budget issues that may arise from the state's financial problems.

An Olympic medal winner in rowing and Olympic Coach, I am a strong supporter of youth and adult recreation and athletics in and around our community.

With your vote on March 4th, I can bring new energy and new ideas to the city council. The election on March 4th will be the first Rolling Hills City Council election held since 1994. It is time for a fresh voice on Rolling Hills City Council.
