This information is provided by the candidate

I have announced my candidacy for re-election to the La Mirada City Council.

I thank you for all the support you have given me while I have served as your Mayor and Councilman. I am now asking for your help, continued support, endorsement and most important, your vote, in the election on March 4, 2003.

When first elected to the La Mirada City Council, I pledged to provide quality leadership and to maintain the tradition of financial responsibility and good government that are the hallmarks of our great city. If you examine my record, you will see that I have kept faith with that pledge.

As a resident and civic leader for 31 years here in La Mirada, I have the experience and skills necessary to continue to be your responsive representative on the La Mirada City Council.

La Mirada is one of the safest, fiscally stable and most well-managed cities in the United States. I continue to support our conservative fiscal policy and will help assure that La Mirada has:

  • A balanced budget
  • No city property tax
  • No utility tax

Recent changes in the senior and middle levels of our city staff make it even more important that there be continuity on the City Council.

A successful campaign requires the support and resources of many individuals. This support can come in many ways. Enclosed please find an envelope listing a number of ways that you can help insure my successful candidacy for the La Mirada City Council.

I hope that I can count on your support, and most of all your vote, on March 4, 2003.

Please feel free to contact me at (800) 227-6721 or (562) 947-8394 or use my e-mail at halmalkin@aol.com.

Thank you, Hal Malkin
