I am a public servant first.

Serving in local government means being responsive to constituent concerns and addressing problems promptly and effectively. I am pro-active in bringing needed initiatives and changes to our city -- like bringing the Gold Line light rail project to Pasadena or effective and meaningful school reform to our PUSD.

I work hard to see that the interests of District 2 residents and businesses are taken into account -- I forced revisions to the Tree Protection ordinance to reflect concerns of property owners while still conserving our trees.

My approach is inclusive -- I do not want to impose projects on our neighborhoods, I want to know what you need, then I work to find a solution that is appropriate for your neighborhood. I work with neighbors and neighborhoods to improve the quality of life for all of us.

The residents and businesses of District 2 set my agenda. When I was first elected, public safety was everyone's number 1 concern. Since making that a priority, our city's crime rate has plummeted and gang activity is nearly non-existent. I take an active, problem solving approach in working for a better Pasadena for all of us.

I want to hear from you. If you have a concern, issue or problem, or just want to share your opinion, please call me at home at 798-4987 or e mail plittle4pasadena@earthlink.net .
