The new voice on the City Council should be a voice that is established and active in the community. I have deep roots in La Verne, but it's my community involvement that sets me apart from the others and puts me in touch with the issues.

I am the only candidate who is both a La Verne Homeowner and La Verne Businessowner. I have the same concerns about increasing taxes, on property and utilities that you do.

I am the only candidate with Children in La Verne Public Schools and Parent in our retirement community. I care about the quality of our children's education, and facilities. I volunteer with the Bonita Boosters, I serve on the Roynon PTA and the Beautification Committee, I am a Room Parent, and Elected to the School Site Council.

I am the only candidate in a community service club. I have been a member of the La Verne Rotary for 19 years and I am currently President Elect.

I am also active at Church. I serve as Board Member, Deacon, Sound Coordinator and more. I support the expansion of `Rock of the Foothills' and construction of Grace Church.

I support all organized youth sports in La Verne. La Verne is blessed with talented athletes. We need to provide quality facilities for our children to succeed.

I have attended and participated at City Council meetings for the past two years. Unlike some I support the downtown Farmers market. It's been a tremendous asset to the community. I support Denny's access to Baseline road. The current Foothill only access is dangerous.

My name is Steven Frank Johnson, and I ask for your vote March 4th
