Biographical Summary for DR. GREGOR QUENTIN EDWARDS

Dr. Edwards was educated in Kansas City, Missouri, and received his BA and MA degrees from CSULA and Doctorate from UCLA with emphasis on Urban Education Policy & Planning. Dr. Edwards has over 34yrs experience in Education and Human Resources, both in the public and private sectors. For the past 25 years Dr. Edwards has serve JPL as a Human Resource Specialist, Corporate Liaison Executive of the CSULA-based Southern California Regional ACCESS Center, Manager of the Equal Opportunity Office, supervised the Training and Development organization at JPL, served as College Relations Specialist, Employee Relations Specialist, Senior Recruiter, and Career Counselor. Dr. Edwards was employed by the Los Angeles Unified School District for fourteen years. During that time, he was a secondary science teacher, counselor, Dean of Students, Compensatory Education Project Director and Assistant Principal.

Dr. Edwards teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in Organizational Development, Strategic Planning, Change Management, Conflict Resolution, Cultural Diversity, and Business Administration, at the University of Redlands. He is a former member of the UCLA Engineering and Management Advisory Board, Aerospace Industry Equal Opportunity Council, and is a Past President of the Los Angeles Industry and Education Association. Currently, he is a member of the State Technical Assistance Committee for Partnership Academies in California, member Board of Directors of the Alkebu-LAN Cultural Center in Pasadena, CA., member of the Pasadena Parks and Recreation Commission, a member of Foothill Workforce Investment Board., Co-Chair Altadena NAACP Education Committee, member of California State NAACP Education Committee, member of Caltech Precollege Science Initiative Advisory Board, and member of Board of Directors Pasadena Urban League.
