Questions & Answers

1. How would you maximize utilization of Federal Funds to benefit Ohioans?

Federal funds originate from taxes paid by Ohio residents so we must ensure that Ohio receives all funding for which we are eligible. Federal funds generally come earmarked for specific purposes. For maximum utilization of these funds, we must minimize bureaucratic and administrative waste and distribute resources where they are most needed without political favoritism. Wherever possible, discretionary funds should be used as seed money to empower local communities in partnership with local business to solve problems within their communities, and to revitalize local communities so they can tackle issues for themselves.
