Patricia Clancy is a Republican member of the Ohio House of Representatives. She serves the 35th House District, which consists of Colerain and Crosby Townships, Green Hills Village, North College Hill and parts of Springfield Township in Hamilton County. A native, of Cincinnati, she graduated from McAuley High School and received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Cincinnati in 1974. She has resided in Colerain Township for many years.

After winning her third term in office during the November 2000 elections, Representative Clancy was chosen as Majority Floor Leader for the 124th General Assembly. Representative Clancy serves on the Finance and Appropriations, Rules and Reference, and State Government Committees as well as the Human Services, and Elections and Ethics Subcommittees. In addition, Representative Clancy was appointed to the Ohio Arts Council, the Ohio Legislative Service Commission, and the Health and Human Resources Task Force of the American Legislative Council.

Issues that Representative Clancy is concerned about include: tougher penalties for repeat offenders of DUI and related crimes, welfare reform, child abuse issues, domestic violence and strong economic development. During the 123rd General Assembly, Representative Clancy introduced and passed 3 bills: HB 191, HB 600 and HB 642. House Bill 191 denies custody and visitation rights to a parent convicted of murdering the other parent. House Bill 600 was a comprehensive revision of drivers' license laws and other public safety department revisions. House Bill 642 establishes the Council on Stroke Prevention and Education.

Representative Clancy was recently awarded the 2001 Women Who Dared Award from the National Council of Jewish Women. In addition, Representative Clancy is a recipient of the Watchdog of the Treasury Award from the United Conservatives of Ohio.
