Sylvia Muņoz-Schnopp

President and CEO, Schnopp Consulting Group

With 20 years of experience in marketing, public relations, media relations and bilingual communications, Sylvia Munoz Schnopp began her own consulting firm, Schnopp Consulting Group. "Schnopp Consulting Group is in the business of providing general and segmented marketing and public relations strategies and solutions for local, regional or national efforts", said Sylvia Munoz Schnopp, president. Spanish language solutions are also available, adding to the breadth of services ranging from simple brochures to all-encompassing segmentation programs.

Sylvia Munoz Schnopp has been active with VCEDA for 5 years, serving on the Board of Directors, as a member of VCEDA's Executive Committee as Corporate Secretary/Treasurer, and as the Golf Committee co-chair. She currently serves as consultant for VCEDA's EPLC (Economic and Environmental Policy Leadership Committee), that is focused on land use, housing, transportation and environmental issues.

Schnopp Consulting Group is poised to assist businesses and nonprofit organizations deliver solutions to clients and constituents with on-target messages that get call-to-action responses. "Clients benefit from my track record with a Fortune 500 company and experience in the nonprofit arena", she said. She spent over 8 years at AT&T Wireless, holding a variety of local, regional, multi-state and national positions in marketing and public relations, most recently as their National Director for Multi-Cultural Initiatives. Prior to AT&T, she was the Director of Marketing at United Way of Ventura County, developing and creating the nationally acclaimed, "Day of Caring" volunteer program and award-winning campaign marketing materials.

She received an MBA in Finance from California Lutheran University in 1998, and holds a B.S. Degree in Business Administration/ Marketing.

Sylvia is a member of the Puente Mentor Council for Oxnard College, past two-term Chairperson and current Board member for City Impact, and a volunteer for the Interface LPGA Women's Teaching Clinic. She also served as a member of the Board of Directors and President of the Ventura County Ad Club, as well as a member of the Board of Directors for the Lied Children's Discovery Museum of Las Vegas, Nevada.
