Elizabeth ("Beth") Rogers

4th generation of her family to live and work in the Central Coast.

Farmer and Independent Businesswoman. Currently, Managing General Partner of Pacific Sod, a farming, real estate, and horticulture business. Former President of Davis Cablevision in Oxnard.

Served on State and Federal commissions and other organizations seeking to build a sound business climate in California, including California Competitiveness Council (the "Uberroth Commission"), California Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Rebuild LA, Team California (California Department of Trade & Commerce Advisory Committee), SBA Task Force on Women's Business Ownership, California Citizens Budget Commission, and Private Industry Council.

Understands the role of government, having served on State and local environmental boards, and knows how to make government services more responsive to the communities and citizens they serve. Appointed positions include California Regional Water Quality Control Board, Los Angeles Region (which includes Ventura County); Water Quality Advisory Task Force for the Regional Water Quality Control Board; Environmental Affairs Commission, City of Los Angeles; and Metropolitan Water Districts Blue Ribbon Task Force.

Widowed at an early age, she changed from her original career goal of teaching and began a successful business career to raise her family.

She and her husband of the past 23 years, Richard Rogers, reside in Carpinteria, with their 5 children including a foster son from El Salvador. Richard is a graduate of the Naval Academy and a Vietnam Veteran, and works with Beth as a managing partner of the family business.

Beth is fluent in Spanish, has lived in Mexico, and previously worked at the National Museum in Mexico City.
