Economic Recovery (Protect Local Jobs) • Ensure that UC Merced and other public construction projects hire local labor rather than workers from the Bay Area.

Improve Education • Ensure our smaller Valley schools receive their fair share of funding compared to the large urban schools or Los Angeles and San Francisco.

Homeland Security • Fortunately, the spirit of our nation gave us the courage to move on and to rebuild after September 11th. As we look toward the future, it's clear that President Bush must be given every tool to protect Homeland Security.
