Born Glendale California 1952. Graduate of Los Gatos High School and West Valley College. Central Coast resident since 1981. Married to Lin; son John attends Cuesta College; mother and extended family reside in the area.

Have managed small businesses and served as Treasurer and President of a 1500 member nonprofit historical society. Sponsor of the Collings Foundation B-24 Liberator aircraft "All American" as a tribute to American Veterans.

Employed in boiler and pressure vessel inspection since 1975. Member of American Society for Nondestructive Testing. Certified Level III Inspector by ASNT since 1979. Employed by PG&E as Inservice Inspection Specialist responsible for pressure vessel and power piping inspection and inspector training since 1981; familiar with federal regulatory process.
