Our Public Schools are in decline, 60% of our 4th graders cannot read at grade level, 64% of African American 4th graders cannot read at grade level
If elected to Congress, I will draft legislation that will call for: . Mandatory Bi-Monthly testing for grades 3-12th . Merit increase for Teachers . Pay incentive for Teachers, to teach in inter-city schools. . School choice for Parents . Parental approval, before any group or organization can come on campus to talk to our children. . No psychological testing of our 1st graders . Parental notification regarding all personal issues that involved their child. . Replace Whole language with Reading Phonics for 1st thru 3rd grades.
