Renewable Energy

By Jo Chamberlain

Candidate for Member; California State Assembly; District 19

This information is provided by the candidate
We have the technology today to move from dependence on oil and gas to independence through renewable energy.
The tax cut that Congress recently "gave" us could have put solar panels on every residence in the United States. Until the federal government sees the (green) light, California should lead the way in moving to renewable energy.

Solar and wind technology is available and affordable now. The state legislature need to provide financial incentives for individuals and municipalities to install solar panels and wind generation equipment.

Additionally, we must continue to conserve energy, improve conservation technology and teach conservation in schools.
