Candidate Statement

By Christopher Uebel

Candidate for Board Member; Forestville Union School District

This information is provided by the candidate
My qualifications as presented in the Voter's Pamphlet
The education that Forestville School provided me made me a lifelong learner. Local examples of community service helped me to understand the difference individuals make in a community.

I started attending Forestville School Board meetings four years ago to understand how the community and the district shaped my children's education. Since that time, I have regularly attended more than80% of the board meetings. Since 1998, I have taught a 7-8th grade GATE architecture class and served as a member of the library, budget, building and measure "E" committees. I have also served as secretary and president of the District Advisory Council.

I am committed to a school that: a) anticipates changes in demographics and funding; b) fosters respect for faculty, staff and administration as they contribute to our community; and c) opens doors for all students to dream of large possiblities and attain them through the support of parents, teachers, and the community.
