These key principles will guide me as a member of the water board:

 Sustainable Water Supply - Water is a limited resource and should be used wisely. We need to make sure everyone uses water in a conservative and efficient manner.

 Safety and Preparedness - Our water needs to be clean and secure from contamination and other threats. We need to be confident in the consistent distribution of our supply despite potential disasters such as earthquakes.

 Protect the Environment - Our collection, distribution and use of water should be done in an environmentally friendly manner. All activities should be done in a manner that minimizes adverse impact to the land and wildlife.

 Cost Effective - All activities should be done in a cost-effective manner so that the cost of water is as low as possible. Creative and innovative ideas to lower costs need to be developed and used.
