In my opinion, the roll of local government should be:

  • To provide for the safety and protection of its citizens

  • To create and maintain city infrastructure, i.e. streets, sidewalks, etc.

  • To allow for the broad mix of housing needs while carefully balancing those with the protection of our environment

  • To protect and improve the quality of life for our current residents, and those who follow
