Growth and Housing

By John Sawyer

Candidate for Member, City Council; City of Santa Rosa

This information is provided by the candidate
Balance throughout our city is the ultimate guide to locating the wide variety of housing needed by our residents now and in the future.
The preservation of our region's natural beauty, which has attracted so many to our city, must always be protected.

With that in mind, housing is a major challenge which always has and always will place pressures on our community.

I prefer city-centered growth which takes advantage of infrastructure already in place to accommodate the low income, workforce, senior and market-rate housing mix we so vitally need.

We should settle for nothing less than:

  • Superior planning
  • Superior design
  • Superior construction

I truly believe in quality before all other considerations for it endures the test of time.
