Creation of the Prince Memorial Greenway

By Steve Rabinowitsh

Candidate for Member, City Council; City of Santa Rosa

This information is provided by the candidate
I have been working for 13 years to build the greenway which will provide bikeways, parks and a natural creek environment for steelhead trout and other species
I am a co-founder of the Committee for Restoring Santa Rosa Creek and have worked since 1989 to create the Prince Greenway. The greenway, which is partially built and is located in back of the new hotel/conference center in Railroad Square, includes:
  • a restored creek for steelhead trout
  • a regional bikeway system that will link downtown to the Laguna de Santa Rosa with future connections to the West County Trail (Radota Trail) that extends to Sebastopol and beyond.
  • economic development of the area along the creek
  • new parks including a restored Olive Park, a new park to be located on Santa Rosa Avenue and a future park in Railroad Square
  • public art along the creek
