I was born in Sonoma County Petaluma to be exact... my family moved to Sebastopol when I was 6 months old. I have 2 sisters and a brother, we all attended Twin Hills Elementary School, Analy High School and SRJC. So I guess you could say I am a life long resident of West Sonoma County. My parents still live on the farm that I grew up on on Bodega Hwy. in Sebastopol. I currently live in the home my husband grew up in, south of Sebastopol.

I have a degree in Health, Physical Education and Recreation. I spent 10 years as a YMCA Professional Director in the Aquatics Field and ended my career as a Maintenance and Facilities Director. I retired in 1997.

My grandmother and all her bothers and sisters (8) also graduated from Analy High School. My son is currently a Jr. at Analy and my daughter graduated in 2000 and is currently attending SRJC. My husband graduated from Analy as well.

I enjoy gardening, reading, canning, cooking, bike riding and water sports. My husband is an airline pilot, so we do travel some as well. I enjoy volunteering in my community and have for the past 14 years been very active in my kids' schools.

Below are just a few of the accomplishments that have occurred within our District during my service as a High School Board member:

Safety improvements on our campuses including; emergency cell phones, cameras and Analy's grant for the "Cops on Campus" program

Analy and El Molino yearly rank at or near the top Academically in our County

Laguna named, `Model Continuation High School' for an unprecedented 4th time

Our sports programs are some of the best in the county, with a very high number of academic athletes participating... the last 4 Valedictorian's at Analy were athletes

The Analy Auto Shop program was saved from the `chopping block' and is now run by the County ROP program

75% of the entire Class of 2004 have passed the new High School Exit Exam

The Analy Plaza became a beautiful reality after 8 years in the making

The El Molino campus now has a beautiful new library, roofs and most class rooms have been modernized

Analy's Theater continues to be renovated with new a curtain and cushioned seats

El Molino will has their new lights for their football field
