Education and Qualifications:

I have enjoyed living in and serving Daly City for over 38 years. I was first appointed to the City Council in 1993 through my work with our schools, homeowners, merchant groups, local service organizations and other community-based activities. I have served the community twice as mayor and have been reelected three times.

As a council member/representative of Daly City I serve with Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG), Airport Land Use Committee, Airport Roundtable, Office of Emergency Services. I am a past member of Children's Executive Committee and past chair of North County Council of Cities. I continue to work with Clean Community Committee, Anti-Graffiti Committee, Water Recycle Project, Sullivan Corridor Plan, Bayshore Revitalization Project as well as serving as Treasurer of Daly City Emergency Food Pantry.

I continue to work to strengthen our financial base through improved economic development and government efficiency while working to insure a high standard of public safety.

I am a full time member of the City Council and a strong advocate of community input. I encourage constituents' comments and welcome your participation.
