A. PETER EVANS

Education and Qualifications:

Married with three adult sons and five grandchildren

I have lived in our City since 1964. I retired in 1991 and now operate a local retail business. I was employed for forty-four years in the Medical Research field at Stanford Research Institute, Stanford University and University of Southern California. I was a community Youth volunteer for twenty-two years in East Palo Alto. I supported Incorporation and served as chairperson of the first East Palo Alto Public Safety Commission. I have been elected to two Public Agencies in our City.

Since incorporation I have attended most of the City Council Meetings and have reviewed all of the Council packets. I also attend Planning Commission meetings regularly and am familiar with the General Plan, the Redevelopment Plan as well as the ordinances and codes that govern our City. I support affordable housing, youth/adult and senior programs, open space, resource management projects, crime/police control, planned capital improvement projects and a well-trained City staff - committed to excellence. If you elect me, I commit to being a Public Servant to defend and protect the environs and environment of our City.

I support development in East Palo Alto that is Community, People and Environmentally friendly.
