Education and Qualifications: Government should be by the people, for the people. Often real decisions in Daly City are made behind closed doors and City Council votes unanimously, without serious public discussion or revisions. Many residents feel discouraged and shut out of the democratic process.

I will bring Daly City politics out of the backroom.

I am a community activist fighting to preserve our rich cultural and economic diversity, a teacher for 21 years at elementary, high school, and university levels, union leader, animal rescue volunteer, caregiver for my elderly parents.

I am a reform candidate fighting to:
Create Term Limits for City Council. Elect our Mayor.
Inform and involve residents in decisions that could disrupt or impact our neighborhoods.
Prevent Eminent Domain seizures of our homes and businesses.
Budget our tax money wisely. End developer subsidies (nearly $8 million recently). Discontinue lifetime health benefits for Council members and their families beyond their service years. Rebuild Bayshore and War Memorial community centers. Buy fire trucks that can reach all Daly City homes.
Repay Redevelopment's $32 million debt to Daly City's general fund.
Promote fair labor practices, comparable pay.
Support new development appropriate in size and character that provides essential neighborhood services.
Restore Lake Merced.
Embrace diverse opinions.
