Fair Government for all citizens

By Al Barrow

Candidate for Director; Los Osos Community Services District

This information is provided by the candidate
No group with an agenda will be allowed to prevail over the majority of our Citizens, especially developers!
A native of California, born to a "stand in" actress for Rosilind Russell and a Disney animator in 1937 in Hollywood California I am saddened to see the destruction of my beautiful state by greedy developers over my lifetime. California's salmon rivers have been dammed and many spawning ares destroyed damaging fishing industry. Nuclear risk to the environment and our citizens are growing as the "half life" waste accumulates. Our highways are jammed. Our infrastructure is overburdened and yet our politicians want 1/3 more people here. When you came to Los Osos the quiet charm drew you with it's natural beauty. Vote for Tacker, Owen and Sylvia. We have so many running we will lose if we split the vote and if you could vote for them instead of me we have a better chance of protecting what we have. Los Osos is the next victim on the developers list. Genrtification and economic cleansing are uppermost on the list. With over $500 million to be made in blanket developmment. 42 miles of streets are to be dug up in the name of protecting our groundwater. Our treated waste water will be added to our drinking water further polluting it. Our bay will be degraded by sewage pipes leaking raw sewage into our drinking water supply. The endangered species habitat will be sacrificed to developers unquenchable greed. Let's be sensible and get the sewer out of town in AG land 90% cheaper. We can have our green belt too by mitigation banking as the single lot owners pay into it and secure the rest of the "Green Belt". We can have open space in the center of town where the deer and other wild life enjoy the view of the bay. Where people wander through with their pets. Where the rain percolates back to our groundwater and man Endangered plants and animals flourish in their seasons. We can have a sports center on one of the 80 acre parcels by Clark Valley Road. With soccer tournaments, 8 or10 fields paid foor by socceer associations. Walk/jog/bicycle trails through constructed wetlands (grant money available now)and an aquatic park for fishing and boating and swimming. Combined with 415 acre feet of ponds to store treated stormwater runoff and tertiary treated waste water that has gone through the controlled flow wetlands and been treated with UV light for purity. Water waiting for ready for benificial reuse (grant money available now)to filter back into our underground aquifer through the fine sands for further purification. Saving us $100 millions of dollars.
