Candidate Statement of Qualifications

Name: Peter Holtz Office Title: School Board Trustee Occupation: Vice President General Manager/Chief Financial Officer Education and Qualifications: I have lived in Tracy for 13 years and I am the parent of four school-age children. Both my wife (Lynette) and I have spent a great deal of time volunteering in our schools because we place a high value on our children's education. Most recently, I have served as the Chairperson of the South/West Park School Site Counsel and Lynette served as the President of the Parent-Faculty organizations for both South/West Park and Williams Middle School. In May, South/West Park School honored both of us as the School Volunteers of the Year. As a family, we care very much about the quality of education in Tracy.

As a parent and through volunteer experiences, I have seen and respect the efforts of the teachers, staff, and administrators and believe I have a good knowledge of how our classrooms work. As a senior manager and Chief Financial Officer of several businesses I have developed a talent for helping to make things better and for leading people to focus on and achieve positive results. I will use these talents along with my deep commitment to the education of our children to be an excellent member of the Tracy School Board.
