I have a fundamental belief that the best thing we can do for ourselves, our community and our children is to provide learning facilities with ample space and equipment and to provide our teachers with the resources and the leadership needed to build a solid educational foundation. I have become increasingly aware of the shortcomings within our public school system here in San Francisco and our children and their teachers deserve all the tools necessary to enable them to excel in all educational endeavors and in life.

I have an accomplished professional background in managing and implementing effective policy within public bureaucracies. Specifically, I have worked extensively in facilities (including schools) contracting and have an insiders understanding of the mechanics and politics involved in the process. I plan to put this experience to work in my community as a member of the San Francisco School Board. This November - help me take the first step in a long journey to transform our schools into something San Francisco can be proud of.
