  • Provide an excellent/outstanding teacher in every classroom
  • Work hand in hand with the superintendent and other school board members to develop positive policies, regulations, and fiscal/financial safeguards to enhance a quality educational program for all students
  • Safe, violence free, healthy and clean environments at all school sites and facilities
  • Provide outstanding classified personnel and support systems
  • Smaller class size (1-20 at underachieving schools)
  • A strong comprehensive reading program for all students
  • Network with parents, parent organizations and the various ethnic and cultural communities throughout the city
  • A district-wide information system and curriculum alignment at the elementary, middle and high school levels
