My family and I have been a resident of Rancho San Diego since 1989. My wife Jane, two sons, Jonathan and Andrew and I have been active members of this our community through our involvement with Jamacha Elementary PTA, First Cup Parent involvement activities, Jamul Little League, AYSO and many church activities.

I graduated from Loyola Marymount University in 1978 with a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering. I attended under a full US Air Force ROTC scholarship and proceeded to serve as an officer for 6 years. I re-entered the private sector as a Manufacturing Engineer for Northrop Corporation and have since transitioned to Information Technology with an emphasis on Manufacturing Systems, such as computerized machine controls, machine automation and manufacturing business systems and applications.

I am a professional Information Technology Manager. Over the past 20 years, I have worked for four of the top fortune 500 companies in the United States. They include Northrop Grumman, Rohr Industries (now Goodrich), Solar Turbines (a subsidiary of Caterpillar) and now with Sempra Energy. My profession is Information Technology Management. In my tenure, I have developed complex business solutions for a variety of diverse business environments. I've been involved with defining business requirements, establishing return on investment analysis, large scale project budgeting and control, organizational development, product design and deployment, Supply Chain Management, Business Process Optimization, and Manufacturing Engineering.

I have a very technical and diverse background and have managed large implementation teams of over a hundred technicians and analysts as well as designed tool jigs for the F-18 Fighter Jet. My current position with Sempra challenges me to develop effective IT solutions for a very complex business process. Sempra provides energy to hundreds of thousands of customers worldwide and must do this with both efficiency and consistency. My technical experience and dedication to excellence serves my employer well and helps to build my personal and professional character.
